TERMS AND CONDITIONS

CANCELLATION POLICY

Once you have registered for the performance team, cancellations are not permitted. We are unable to provide any refunds, neither full nor partial, for any upfront costs paid including the purchase of costume levies, uniforms, Stage Hair & Makeup workshops, dance shoes or stockings. By registering, you are purchasing a semester of performance team training upfront. Your training is paid off on a payment plan by weekly installments. Once the payment plan is in place we are unable to terminate or suspend payments, and you will be liable to pay out the full amount regardless of attendance at training or performances.

ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENT

All dancers are expected to attend a minimum of 80% of scheduled performance team training. It is the dancer’s responsibility to catch up on any missed content either via video, by catching up with a team mate or by booking a private lesson in advance of the following class. Should attendance fall below 80%, Strut Entertainment Group reserves the right to request a student to book private lessons to catch up on missed technique and / or choreography in order to perform.

CHOREOGRAPHY

All choreography is strictly for the purpose of Strut Entertainment Group performances and remains the intellectual and artistic property of Strut Entertainment Group. Choreography is not to be used or adapted for other amateur or professional performances.

MEDIA

All dancers give permission for photographs and video footage taken of them at performances to be used by Strut Entertainment Group in social media posts, website and promotional / marketing activity. Photographs and video of dancers in our costumes or at performances can be shared on the dancer’s personal social media channels as long as Strut Entertainment Group is acknowledged in the post. Photographs and videos of Strut Entertainment Group costumes or performances are not to be used to promote any other amateur or professional dance group or school.

REPLACEMENT CLASSES

As our VIP customers, all performance team members are given the opportunity to utilize missed training sessions. Should you miss a performance team training session of either 60, 90 or 120 mins, the missed time will remain available for use on your account. You may book in to any of our casual classes, any time during the semester as a replacement class for the session you have missed. All credits on your account must be used by the end of the semester. We can not carry credits over to subsequent semesters. Any training sessions remaining on your package at the end of the semester are therefore forfeited. It is the responsibility of the user to ensure all credit is used prior to the end of the semester.

COSTUME LEVY & COSTUME HIRE T&C

Our costume levy fee provides students with costumes for all of their team performances during the current semester they are enrolled in. The costume levy covers all costume hires from the date the student pays the levy, until the end of the current semester. If a student is enrolling in multiple performance teams, they will be liable to pay a costume levy for EACH TEAM they enroll in. We are unable to provide any refunds, neither full nor partial, for any costume levies paid that are not utilized by the student.

Costumes for performances are to be picked up and returned to Strut Studio Reception during business hours unless otherwise specified and are only to be used for Strut Entertainment Group events and performances. Personal use of Costumes and Accessories is not permitted without expressed written consent. 

The normal Costume Hire period is 7 days from pick up, unless otherwise specified. Costumes will be placed in individual bags for the student, including any accessories that may be required to complete the costume (e.g. swords, head pieces, jewellery).

All costumes and accessories are inspected before and after the hire period. It is the students responsibility to inspect the costume before use and advise Strut Entertainment Group via text or email within 24 hours of pick up of any faults or damage. 

Our products have been worn by other students prior to your rental. Strut Entertainment Group shall not be held liable for any health-related complaints or injuries associated with products hired from our sites.

Alterations or additions to Costumes are not permitted without expressed written consent from Strut Entertainment Group. Any alterations and damage beyond general wear and tear will be charged to the user.  

The user is responsible for the return of the Costume and Accessories, any third party returns with missing or damaged Apparel will be charged to the User. If Apparel is lost, stolen or damaged beyond repair the User will be liable to pay for replacement of the item and any subsequent accessories to match. 

STUDIO LIABILITY WAIVER

Strut Entertainment Group will make all efforts to assist our students to avoid injury. However, it is important that you understand and agree that in participating in any dance class, workshop, rehearsal or performance, there is a possibility of physical injury. Students agree to be bound by all terms in this Liability Waiver and Acknowledgement of Risk. 

Students acknowledge that with any physical activity there are certain risks involved including the potential for physical injury and illness, and understand that it is their responsibility to consult with a physician prior to and regarding their participation in any physcial activity.

 

Students acknowledge that they should be aware of their physical limitations and agree not to exceed them. Students agree to assume full responsibility for any risks, injuries or damage, known or unknown, which they might incur as a result of participating in participating in classes, rehearsals, performances, or activities with Strut Entertainment Group.  

Students knowingly, voluntarily and expressly waive any claim they may have against Strut Entertainment Group and their owners, agents, volunteers, assistants, employees, guest artists, faculty members, and/or students for injury or damages they may sustain as a result of participating in classes, rehearsals, performances, events or activities.

​Students understand that Strut Entertainment Group is an accredited and insured organisation and that in the event that they should observe any unsafe conduct or conditions before, during or after my classes, they agree to report the unsafe conduct or conditions to the owner, Kristina Finnie, or available administrators, instructors or staff members as soon as possible. 

Students agree to obey the class and facility rules and take full responsibility for their behaviour, in addition to any damage they may cause to the facilities utilised by Strut Entertainment Group. 

Students further voluntarily agree that, for no additional consideration, Strut Entertainment Group shall have the right to use photographs and video of them arising from classes, rehearsals, performances, or activities for publicity purposes.
